The Metropolitan Cathedral of Medellín is a cathedral church of the Roman Catholic faith dedicated to the Virgin Mary under the patronage of the Immaculate Conception. It is located in the Villanueva neighborhood, on the northern side of Bolivar Park in the center of Medellín, Colombia. The building was designed by the French architect Charles Émile Carré in the neoromanesque style and features a Latin cross plan with three longitudinal naves, intersected by the transept, and its two towers reach a height of 66 meters to the cross. It was declared a National Monument of Colombia in 1982
