Day 1 — Arrival in Choachí:  Located in the town center, where the experience begins and the different components of the journey are brought together.

Explore the town on foot for approximately three hours, accompanied by a local guide—a bilingual, self-taught campesino—visiting key points connected to local history and memory, architecture, coffee culture, traditions, local art and expressions, commerce, and everyday activities.

Discover Choachí’s geographical relationship with the surrounding mountains and páramos, understanding the landscape as part of the territory’s history rather than simply as a backdrop.

Get closer to local coffee culture at the end of the Walking Tour at Café Señora de las Gracias.

Share dinner and conversation at B&B, reflecting on the day’s journey and connecting the town, territory, water, economic activities, and tourism as a way of preparing for the following day.

Day 2 —  Journey to La Chorrera: Where you will take an approximately three-hour hike through territory managed by a local organization.

Follow the same trail connecting El Chiflón and La Chorrera. The route starts at approximately 2,450 meters above sea level, passes through El Chiflón at around 2,490 meters, and reaches La Chorrera at approximately 2,554 meters.

Connect the landscape with the history and dynamics of the territory, accompanied by the local guide.

Meet and interact with members of the organization involved in managing and conserving the area, while respecting the dynamics and guidance of the place.

Discover other expressions of the local economy during lunch at El Chef Cubano, a business located within the park. Its Cuban cuisine is part of the contemporary diversity of people and economic activities that also contribute to shaping the territory.

Experience the territory through different senses: the sounds of the town and forest, the water, the aromas of coffee and the forest, the flavors of the places visited, and the stories of people who live in the municipality.

Have close encounters with the places and people of the territory, getting to know each space through those who live there and make it possible, with opportunities to talk with local people and record the experience when appropriate and with their permission.

Understand that La Chorrera is not an isolated attraction, but part of a territory where people, productive activities, businesses, conservation, local organization, and tourism come together.

Accommodation is provided at B&B – Trekking y Senderismo, located in the town center of Choachí.

The B&B has four rooms and a maximum capacity of 10 guests. Room assignments are made according to availability and group configuration.

B&B functions as the experience’s coordinating hub: it is where the journey begins and ends, where travelers receive orientation, and where the different components of the territorial experience are connected.

Accommodation: 1 night at B&B – Trekking y Senderismo.

Meals:

• Day 1: Dinner at B&B and an introduction to local coffee culture during the Walking Tour at Café Señora de las Gracias.

• Day 2: Breakfast at B&B and lunch at El Chef Cubano, located within La Chorrera Park.

Guiding: Specialized local guide for 2 days (local campesino, self-taught bilingual in Spanish and English).
Entrance Fees: Entry and access rights to La Chorrera Park.
Internal Transportation: Locally contracted round-trip transfer between the town center (B&B) and La Chorrera Park.

• Bogotá – Choachí – Bogotá Transportation: Can be arranged independently or at an additional cost.

• Additional Consumption or Drinks: Any extra food or beverages not included in the agreed menu.

• Personal Expenses: Souvenirs or personal purchases.

• Guiding Service in French or Italian: Requires prior request and incurs an additional cost.

Travelers are encouraged to bring only what is necessary for the hike. At the time of booking, recommendations will be shared according to the conditions of the site and the group.

During the experience, travelers are encouraged to respect trails and designated areas, follow the guidance provided by those managing the places visited, and avoid removing plants, rocks, or other natural elements.

Getting to Choachí

Public transportation: From the Transoriente Terminal in Bogotá. For safety reasons, we recommend arranging transportation to the terminal through a door-to-door service.

Private transportation: Can be arranged directly with B&B at an additional cost.

Travelers aged 18 and over, with no strict upper age limit, who have a basic level of fitness for walking for several hours and feel comfortable walking at altitude. The experience combines a relaxed-paced urban walk with an approximately three-hour hike along an established trail.

Weather policy: Timing and routes may be adjusted according to weather conditions and the group’s circumstances when these could affect safety or the quality of the experience. The guidance provided by those managing the places visited is respected throughout the operation.
