The First Baptist Church Emmanuel is a historical heritage of the Island of San Andrés, not only because it is a place of worship, but also because it was the first Baptist Church built in Latin America. The temple, which dates back to 1847, was built with pine wood brought from the state of Alabama, in the southern United States.
